If you feel the desire to 'expand internationally' you could come read in Toronto. Not that it's terribly nice in the fall. I feel that you'd be pretty well received by the leftist university population.

hi everyone. i'm a writer from South Africa. i like Tao Lin's work and Muumuu House. i have not read any of Tao Lin's or Muumuu House's books, but i like what is available online. i have written a poem inspired by this school of writing. i would like to know what you think. thank you.

(sorry Tao for misusing your comments section)

'accidentally callled a white man sir and immediately after had thoughts of killing him'

by M.N.N

today i heard a Maxwell song and listened closer it sounded like the end of the world

at the back of a taxi which is at the back of a taxi-rank which is at the back of Albert Camus’ A Happy Death i am late for work

i take my time

i take all of my time and pull all of it over my head;

i hide inside a waste of time

i want to create something beautiful

i want to create an ornament to stand above my laptop and i will sleep while it writes misnomers without passion

i don’t understand poetry

i’m just fucked everyday inside the elevator at work

i am too thin;

i pull me through the elevator doors and then at the end of the workday i push me back through the elevator doors

i wake up at home and drink a beer

i feel very alienated; i watch a soccer match and i don’t care

next door Okwonko cuts himself shaving

he is explaining how he hates his job

he rubs the blood off his loin-cloth and says “oh, well”

in my room an ornament stands above my laptop with a reticent facial expression writing poetry without passion

i feel like the worst poem written by this ornament

i feel like understanding that has been obscured but makes sense because i am the one obscuring the understanding, if that makes sense

i wake up at work and drink a beer

it is only 10 a.m.

my editor walks up to me says “nigga” high-fives me says “meeting in 10 stanzas”

i feel like my heritage is obstinate

it drains me

a version of microsoft word walks up to my poem and draws a red line beneath ‘nigga’ and changes it to nigger

‘i cannot tolerate you,’ it says

‘i cannot tolerate you,’ my heritage says and jumps off a tall modern building in the centre of a Cape Town banking park

in my room the ornament wins a Pulitzer prize and walks up to the podium burning the worst poem written by ‘the ornament wins a Pulitzer prize’

i wake up inside a deadline and drink a beer

i feel bored

the ornament says “meeting in 1 stanza”

meeting
