i read five poems and adhere to a raw organic vegan diet except the olive oil
this video is for a reading series in manchester created by chris killen & sally cook, it is rated pg-13 for satanic imagery and adult themes; 'ultimately it is life-affirming' says roger ebert, salon, and bookforum; some letters appear 'backwards' because photo booth records like a mirror and i sometimes messed up and wrote a letter forwards

I also hope that one year on the fourth of July, there will be a large crowd to watch fireworks, and every single one of the fireworks will fail to go off, and the entire crowd will sit in silence and think about things like "self expression", "tedious housework", and "hope in general". They will not think about animals or television.
that was really cool, tao. i liked how you made it for people with short attention spans.
Simple recipes, please.

Very much enjoyed your video last night sir. Good stuff.
I was at the reading night. i saw your video - my favourite bit was the eyes of the first character you drew
this just in:
Important Ass News also has videos. And the men and women at Important Ass News actually have something called charisma.

I was going to ask Tao Lin if he ever edits his "poems" or if he instead writes (types?) whatever sentences pop into his head, smiles, stretches/leans back in his chair, cracks his knuckles, and then writes (types?) the next one; however, for my money, someone saying that he/she thought the best part of Tao Lin's poem video was the way he drew the eyes on one of his characters is good enough for me. Love is an eagle, indeed!
On a sad note, I see that Tao Lin deleted (untyped?) a post he had written (typed?) early this morning, and it's a shame he did so because I felt there were many worthwhile comments regarding said missive.
For example, I left a response whereby I wagered a bet with anyone who was interested that Tao Lin has either already been, or will one day be, served with a restraining order.
The reason I believe this to be the case is as follows: Tao Lin comes off as extremely lonely, angry, self-aggrandizing, delusional and downright mean in every article written (typed?) about him, as well as in his online interviews, and I therefore see him refusing to take "no" as an answer if he were to ever be romantically interested in someone who didn't share that feeling for him.
Of course, I also think Tao Lin would ignore the girl's requests for him to leave her alone, with his behavior eventually becoming so creepy and threatening toward the uninterested apple of his eye that she would have no choice but to get the authorities involved.
Further, I believe the first "poem" in this video (the "poem" immediately after the well-drawn eyes) illustrates my point: You can tell Tao Lin was totally harassing the girl about whom the "poem" was written (typed?), but then he tries to save face that he wasn't a weirdo by including lines about the girl coming to his house (I'd make another bet that didn't happen) and about how there'll be a time when he forgets her, like that isn't exactly what she wanted from the beginning.
Having said all that, you still have to hand it to Tao Lin: Despite his lack of writing ability, he certainly knows how to promote his work; I mean, not everyone's new book of "poetry" is, at the time of this message, only 90,904 spots away from being atop amazon.com's bestseller list. Units will be moved or something, indeed!
'when parents flee the country,'
if you gained the power to control my actions or to make me disappear and make someone else appear in my place how would you use that power
can you describe the attributes of the person that would replace me (if you would use the power to make me disappear) or describe what you would make me do if you used your power to control my actions?
also, have you made over 400 anti-tao lin comments on 20-40 blogs over 2-3 years? are you this person?
if you are, i'm confused, are you just existentially required to comment that i am bad person, will the comments continue until one of us die, or is there something that can happen for you to stop feeling the need to comment that i am a really bad person, i'm 'okay' either way, i really am curious if there is any way that you can change so that you somehow think i'm not a bad person anymore or if, in your view, that is an impossibility
Not to interrupt your conversation, but why haven't you accepted my gmail chat invite? or reply to my emails? and why did you report my blog as "spam" when all i want is for us to be friends? i love tao lin, but if tao lin does not like me, or hates me or is indifferent toward me, then doesn't tao lin have to like the things you dislike, hate or am indifferent towards?
i am confused. in your view, is that an impossibility?

I don't think Tao sounds 'delusional and downright mean in every article written about him'
That shit-talking post was vague. If you are going to make a claim like 'Tao Lin sounds mean in every article written about him', you should link up the articles and point out what you mean.
Also, If think you can write poems and have the balls to post them up on the internet, than do it and stop complaining about artists who put themselves out there. I feel strongly that if you actually were able to do this, than you would have respect for others who do, even if you don't 'like' their writing, and you wouldn't post negative blog comments on artist's work. You don't see me all pissed off commenting on Underoath or Hannah Montana's blog because I don't like what they do.
And ryan manning, I didn't mean anything by that 'bitch' comment, I think you're actually really funny.

Dear tao lin-
My original comment was just erased. I've read your book eeeee eee eeee once and i'd like to hear the story again, only this time i'd like to be lying in bed listening to you reading the book. Please consider releasing an audiobook version. You could read a chapter a day and post in the blog as an mp3. People can listen to it while they jog or curl up in the fetal position. I imagine you'd read in a monotone. Maybe you could do a serious one and a 'funny' ("chopped and screwed") one. Your publisher can release an 'official' audiobook later. It can be read by ben kingsley. The 'guerilla' version will be more authentic and your publisher doesn't need to know. Thanks for considering.
is nobody else concerned that tao lin acts so much like a dangerous unstable individual like cho sengheu or the columbine kids? tao lin seems very unbalanced and dangerous. please seriously consider this and discuss. or maybe tao lin can discuss this himself to make things clear for everyone. hearing him read poetry seems very disturbing. i didn't say you are a bad person, but you just worry some people. please discuss.
tao i like this a lot thank you
this is conor that is telling you this
i used to watch this video every once in a while when i was thinking about poetry in high school
