i feel more calm when i think, type, say, hear, or read the following phrases

'the arbitrary nature of the universe'

'sales aren't rising'

'are sales rising'

'perhaps units will be moved'

'kombucha bitches unite'

'seems bleak'
those six phrases seem to make up the 'core' of 'tao lin'

i just thought of some more phrases, these must be 'secondary'

... as they did not 'come to me' as the first five did
'severe depression'

'crippling loneliness'

'existential despair'

'screaming in agony'

'victory in japan'

'consciousness means we must choose'

'the nature of being and existence'

'neutral facial expression'

'quiet monotone'

'concrete reality'

'ultimately life-affirming'

'gawker linked'
it is calming for me to combine these phrases

'due to severe depression and crippling loneliness he talked about the arbitrary nature of the universe with a quiet monotone and a neutral facial expression though ultimately life-affirming, gawker linked'

i am surprised those phrases combined 'so easily,' i pretty much just typed the sentence

i want to say that the phrases combined 'thusly,' i don't know, i just had an image of me being hit in the face really hard combined with an image of me being hit in the back of the head with a frying pan really hard, i'm wearing a plaid shirt right now i think

i believe the etiology of most of these phrases is 'gmail chats with noah cicero and ellen kennedy'

i do not take credit for these catch phrases, 'they simply define me as a human being'

my next novel will introduce phrases previously unused on this blog and in my previous books

these phrases are 'party girl' and 'cheese beast'

i have a strong urge to 'push' those phrases 'hard,' to 'get them into the vernacular'

i want jonathan safran foer's great grandson to say 'sales aren't rising, and i think the president is a cheese beast; kombucha bitches unite'

i would like the tagline of my second novel to be 'the novel that secured tao lin his steady cash flow without a real job'

that is another phrase that defines me, i forgot, i will put it now
'steady cash flow without a real job'
i feel dismay that i forgot that one, it seems crucial to my 'day-to-day existence' as well as many long-term thoughts that i have, 'AM I LIVING A LIE!?'

i also forgot these four
'what difference does it make'

'there is no good or bad in art'

'defined within a context and goal'

'existentially required to increase profits'
some others exist but are rare and i don't remember them right now

there are some that existed but are currently 'out of use'

should i feel bad if i think 'i have a lot of friends' or 'drink beer a lot'?

i kind of feel like those are 'true' statements for me
and make me unproductive.

ryan,

dottie,

i'm glad you feel huge waves of warmth towards strangers

miles,

i do not promote the lifestyle in this post nor do i promote it, i think, therefore, i don't know if you should feel bad or not, i think probably since i'm 'against' 'pain and suffering' you should not feel bad in terms of me

roo,

yes

chris,

what do you do after saying 'what difference does it make,' i am curious

i am glad you have posted non link blog posts

also how did you get to this awareness where you feel like you 'understand' 'everything', um, was it through the avoidance of hierarchies

if i am around people i like and i say 'what difference does it make' then the people laugh and the other people repeat the phrase after anything happens. like if i spend money on ugly women's clothing or almost get in a car crash it is all 'what difference does it make' to me

i just got a job and at work tonight someone kept messing up the orders, like putting wrong things on the sandwiches and it seemed like it was on purpose and i think we both said stuff like 'it doesn't matter' throughout the night. it was fun. i think it helps me get through things

i don't know if i feel bad. it could be the result of many different things.

i guess this blog post made me feel conflicted. i feel conflicted and undecided a lot.

i like 'party girl', people you can abstractly label 'party girls'.
they make me feel 'tragic beauty', 'hopeless romanticism', and 'southern depression'.

"Gawker Linked' making the secondary list is a huge upset for 'There is no good or bad in art'. I'm wholly surprised, however support this decision to it's fullest.

I strongly believe that at least one of these phrases deserves the be the title of "Second Novel".

My personal vote goes to "AM I LIVING A LIE?"

I'd stumbled upon this site a few weeks ago and felt then a resonance. I had not read this post and yet awoke this morning with the phrase "arbitrary nature of the universe" on my mind. I Googled the phrase and selected a link. I was brought once again to this website.

There are about 160,000,000 websites online.
