I want my interns to go to the wikipedia page for you are a little bit happier than i am and make it the longest wikipedia page on wikipedia. Students in the classes I went to should type what I said and describe my facial expressions and what kind of shoes I wore, if I had an "air of inconstancy about me that belied a stagnant moral code." I also want someone to extend the wikipedia page for cognitive-behavioral therapy. I believe wikipedia has the power to move units, it's also funny to write on it, I want my page to say, "Tao Lin is the author of the best-selling memoir, A Detached Admiration that Felt Asexual and Senile." A bored eighty-year old man in South Africa will read that and feel excited, then try to find the book and have something to do in his life. Intern #400 should type this introduction into the 1st poetry book's page. If I gain $100,000,000,000 I will buy McDonald's and convert it to an organic vegan restaurant chain.
Ryan Call wrote a story about what happened when he and other people got drunk in my apartment. I like this story. If enough people encourage Ryan Call in a steady manner for a certain amount of time he will write more and publish a book. Ellen Frances made a movie set partly at Melville House's new store.

i like the penn sound clip. i think its funny when people dont hear you and you need to speak up and you always sound agitated. and also, after three tries, he still called ned vizzini, ned bizzini- which is a very funny sounding name.

Well, I like your writing a great deal. I know people lump you in with the "New Sincerity," but, no offense, is it really possible that you are as emotionally sensitive and phobic as you appear from your blog? I just wonder how much of this is affected. I know you probably can't answer this honestly b/c it would affect your 'rep' or whatever but I can't help wondering. I mean, I begin to wonder if the "New Sincerity" is an elaborate put-on. . .i.e., elaborately simulating sincerity and then putting forth that parody as sincerity itself, as if to symptomize the endless reterritorialization of the sign.

The Carnal Philosopher is jealous. I know because I'm jealous too. Sensitivity and pompousness go hand in hand.
Where would you get jealousy out of what I said? I am jealous of Jay-Z, Donald Trump, and George Soros, because they can do whatever they want with virtual impunity due to wealth, power and fame. Tao Lin is one of the last people I'd be jealous of. I do like his short stories, however.
