I read all of Mcsweeney's 2 and found it very funny and insightful in a poignant yet politically relevant way. Bravo for Mcsweeney's 2 for making good evil, and evil good.

I was abusing cocaine in a Bushwick art gallery at 4 a.m. last Saturday when a Long Island philosopher began elucidating a theory of how the sweeping reach of Martin Heidegger's ontology provides the most suitable scholastic introduction to the corpus of western philosophical thought. Somewhere around the word "corpus" myself and a taxidermist got bored and started talking about Marcel Duchamp.
McSweeney's 2 is a portrait of Duchamp dead. Being and Zero.
I don't get it. This is just a gimmick. Why are you so into gimmicks? Just write dude. Just write. If you're good enough you'll get attention for that. I think your weirdness is at least 50 or 60 percent persona. Sure you're weird in real life...but you totally push it to get attention. Oh well. At least you're better than Noah Cicero

mcsweeney's 2, whether i made it or someone else made it, or no one knows who made it, or i got an email with the link in it, and i don't know who made it, or me and someone else made it, or a lot of people combined and discussed it and then made it, or dave eggers made it, or it got made by accident, is finished, i think, probably
it was started and completed, and now it is here, it seems, completed, maybe, people have looked at it and read all of the content and experienced it, it is a complete work, perhaps, maybe, don't know
there will, perhaps, be a family of McSweeneys.
leaving comments is a gimmick.
